people did their part in making it possible to spend that amount of money when it was so badly needed. We believe this county sent two hundred dollars to help out in this disaster.

The executive committee also made arrangements with Miss Nancy LeMasters to take charge of the chairmanship work of a new project for Howard County, which is called Farm & Home Accident Prevention program, and this, of course will be sponsored by the local chapter. This should prove to be a wonderful thing in educating the people of the county in the proper way to avoid accidents, by taking the necessary precautions against accidents occurring. More will be heard about this program from time to time.

The membership quota for Howard county this year is 500. That means the Red Cross folks will have to get out and hustle to land that number of members. We formerly had a quota of 300 and always went "over the top" in our membership campaigns. We hope the people of Howard county will make a firm resolution just as they complete reading this article that they will join the Red Cross this year and help us get the largest membership in the history of the local organization.
