Traffic was reported heavy Sunday between Omaha and Emerson, lots of cars bearing pheasant hunters. One man said it was a dangerous trip, so many cars traveling at high rates of speed and paying little attention to traffic rules.

The teams were evenly matched from the standpoint of first downs, with Winnebago leading by a small margin. However, the Indians had Emerson guessing with their laterals and sleepers, which netted them some long gains. Emerson got a few bad breaks by having the center pass the ball over the kicker's head on some plays which set Winnebago up for touchdowns on a couple of occasions. The local boys made some nice gains several times, with their halves breaking loose and by completing some nice passing, but they seemed to lack the punch to go on over for a touchdown.

DIVIDEND ANNOUNCED
F. M. Church, receiver of the Security State bank at Homer, announced a 5 per cent dividend, payable Wednesday. This makes a total of 40 per cent or $51,075.29 returned to depositors to date.
DONALD WAGERS BETTER
Donald Wagers is improving steadily, following a minor operation for a throat ailment at St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City last week. Mrs. Wagers has been with him since he entered the hospital October 7. Donald plans to return home about Saturday.
