Former Wanamingo Banker Found Dead Martin Halvorson, former Wanamingo banker, died Tuesday night of carbon monoxide poisoning. His body was found slumped over the wheel of his car near Marshall, Minn. His car had run into a snow bank. Born in Wanamingo May 24, 1881, he was reared there. He was a merchant for a time and in 1904, with his brother, Henry, organized the Farmers State bank at Wanamingo. He was associated with the bank until it closed in 1929, serving as cashier at the time. Later he moved to Dawson, Minn., where he engaged in the insurance business. He moved to Marshall after becoming receiver for several closed banks. Surviving are his widow, three sons, two daughters and two brothers, including Henry of Rochester.
