ATTORNEY IS NAMED FOR LINTON BANK RECEIVER WASHINGTON, August 1 (Spl.)β€”An end to the efforts of Indiana's senators to select an attorney for the receiver of the First National Bank of Linton came today when the controller of the currency, acting on the joint recommendation of the senators, authorized the receiver to appoint Fred Dobbyn, of Washington, Ind., who months ago was first recommended by the junior senator, Sherman Minton. At that time Frederick VanNuys, senior senator, recommended C. C. Hendren. To break the deadlock the senators recently joined in a recommendation of Paul Haywood, Bloomfield, but Haywood was rejected when the controller learned he was under a suspended sentence of the Greene circuit court for embezzlement and forgery. Then the senators agreed on Dobbyn.
