See Bon Ton Candy Shop. 36-1tc The prairie chicken season will soon be here, and the question is, where are the chickens that used to sail across the prairies and hills and hollows this spring. There has been too many violators of the game laws through this section lately, who have done nothing but murder the game, oftimes blow a bird to pieces and let them lay by the dozens, apparently shooting them for practice. The Light would like to see this township made into a game reserve for several years and have the game murderers stay out. Then we could raise pheasants, quail, prairie chickens and other game birds and feel secure that we would not have visitors from other states in here when the season opens to massacre every vestage of bird life in the countryside. If you would like to have your farm in a game reserve, write to us or tell us about it, and we will see what arrangements can be made about such a reserve. The statement again reveals the solid condition of local bank. The receiver's statement of the Gridley State Bank is also contained in this issue. It will be noticed that considerable collecting on notes has been done recently, which is good news to those who have money on deposit there.
