CRIST AGAIN CEDAR COUNTY BUREAU HEAD Directors Are Chosen; Indorse AAA; Bank Liquidation Orders. Tipton, Ia., Dec. 25.โ€”H. H. Crist was re-elected president of the Cedar county Farm Bureau at the annual meeting in the Methodist church. Alvin Stonerook was elected vice president; Ben Penningroth, secretary; Jim Reeve, treasurer; Mrs. Hy Von Muenster, home project chairman; Mrs. Ben Schroeder, girls' 4-H club chairman; Glen Ridenour boys' 4-H club chairman. The township directors are: Cass, Clifford Tisinger; Center, George Fraseur; Dayton, R. H. Domer; Fairfield, Sam Thumma; Farmington, Arnold Wiese; Fremont, Henry Von Behren; Gower, Austin Ellyson; Inland, Walter Rohlf; Iowa, Lee Millett; Linn, Forest Rhoads; Massillon, Otto Schneider; Pioneer, Lester Nicoll; Red Oak, Floyd Spear; Rochester, H. L. Witmer; Springdale, Emery Hemingway; Sugar Creek; Walter Kiser; Springfield, Eric Von Muenster. Resolutions were adopted recommending the continuation of the agricultural control program with such changes as experience has shown necessary; a program of education, and set-up of co-operatives; a homestead tax exemption law; the rural electrification program; urge an increase on the tax on oleomargarine in Iowa; urge the Iowa Farm Bureau federation to attempt to secure reciprocal trucking agreements whereby trucks from other states will be permitted to drive on Iowa highways free if they permit Iowa trucks on their highways under similar terms. Receivership Orders. Judge John T. Moffit has authorized receiver for the Durant Savings bank to sell property in Dr. Peterson's addition, Muscatine, to H. D. and Mabel E. Webster, for $3,500. Application of the receiver for the Bennett Savings bank for authority to accept $2,100 from William Eggert in full settlement of indebtedness of $6,000 will be heard at 9 a. m. Jan. 6. E. G. Dresselhaus, J. N. Wiese and H. R. Weih were appointed appraisers to fix value of the property of the Bennett Savings bank. The receiver for the Helmer and Gortner State bank, Mechanicsville, was authorized to sell the Hines property and Pieper properties in Mechanicsville also owned by the bank, to Robert Kramer, Mechanicsville, for $1,400 and $600 respectively. The receiver for the Durant Savings bank was authorized to accept $800 in full settlement of $1,225 of Lee Norton. H. E. Gibeaut, trustee, has brought suit against T. L. Lynch, administrator of the estate of P. L. Toher, for judgment for $14,075, secured by 160 acres of land in Pioneer township. Release Davison. Gene Davison has been dismissed and his bond released upon motion of County Attorney B. J. Maxwell. He was charged with unlawful sale of liquor. Bunker Funeral. Funeral services for Herbert Lee Bunker, who was killed Sunday night, were held this afternoon from the home of his parents, the Rev. R. C. Jerrell, officiating. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
