DEPOSITORS HOLD MASS MEETINGS DEPOSITORS OF IOWA TRUST & SAVINGS BANK APPOINT COMMITTEE TO PROTECT THEIR INTERESTS Last Thursday evening one of the largest gatherings in many years assembled at the Grand theatre in Lake Park at a meeting of the depositors of the Iowa Trust & Savings Bank, which recently closed its doors. The meeting was called to order by C. H. Robey, who introduced the speaker of the evening Attorney Diamond of Sheldon, Iowa, who gave a short talk on the depositors' rights, after which an hour was devoted to the question box, Attorney Diamond answering the questions of the depositors. On Friday evening another meeting was held in the I. O. O. F. hall, the object being to appoint a committee to look after the depositors' interests. The main object to work for the reorganization of the bank and to keep the organization from going into the hands of a receiver; or, if a receivership was necessary, to take the matter up with the State Superintendent of Banking and see that a receiver was appointed who would best look after their interests. Also to work in conjunction with the receiver, if one be appointed, and aid him in all ways possible. The committee appointed was as follows: C. C. Frost, chairman; W. H. Hageboeck; V. B. Hensen; C. H. Robey; A. W. Wright; W. H. Marks; F. E. Weichman; W. A. Brunemeier, and J. W. Emerson. The committee is composed of men who we can assure the depositors will look after their interests, and who will do all things possible to reopen our financial institution, which we think will be the best in the long run for all concerned. Whatever the committee does, we should all stand by them. Let's work for a better banking institution.
