Headaches? Talk to DR. FOSTER FIFTEEN CLAIMS PAID. Municipalities Are Aided By the State Sinking Fund. Indianapolis, April 13 Floyd E. Williamson, state auditor, last night announced that fifteen claims have been paid out of the state sinking fund to municipalities which had funds in banks which have suspended business since January 1. At the same time Williamson said he has received an opinion from Philip Lutz, Jr., attorneygeneral, in which it is held that banks being operated by conservators are not eligible to come under the provisions of the sinking fund law. The claims paid total $61,and have been paid for the following institutions: The Bank of Selma, Selma: The Star City State Bank, Star City: The Oxford State Bank, Oxford and The Farmers State Bank of Eminence. Williamson said there are now 21 state banks which have suspended operations and are eligible to come under the sinking fund law. He said there is sufficient money in the fund to pay all claims on file.
