DEPOSITORS IN TREECE BANK TO BE PAID IN FULL Treece. Kan., May 24.-A final payment to depositors, making complete recovery from assets of the closed Treece State bank, will be made Friday, June 8, at the former bank location by William Russell, assistant state receiver. The payment will represent 25 per cent of the amount due, and mark the fourth payment to be made since the bank closed April 1, 1932. Non-residents may forward their certificates by mail to Russell, who will return checks to them. Depositors living in this vicinity will be expected to present their certificates at the bank building. The complete recovery on deposits at the time the bank closed aggregated approximately $30,000. There were 150 depositors, it is understood. The first dividend was paid July 12, 1932, and amounted to $8,000. Two other dividends have been paid since that time. Russell was cashier of the bank at the time the institution closed He was appointed assistant state receiver by Charles Johnson, state bank receiver, and has since given a greater part of his time to liquidating the bank's assets to bring about the 100 per cent recovery to depositors.
