Publisher Is In Trouble In Glen Ellyn Now Robert E. Wood, resident of Elburn, editor of "Town Topics," Glen Ellyn publication, was indicted by DuPage county grand jury last week for printing an article in his paper about the financial condition of the DuPage Trust company, a Glen Ellyn bank. According to testimony introduced at the hearing, the statement declared the value of DuPage Trust company's stock had fallen off 50 per cent in the last few months, which, bank officials state, caused a run on the bank. The financial statement of the bank shows an increase instead of a falling off, testimonials proved. The publisher is subject to a fine of $500 or one year in the county jail, State's Attorney C. W. Reed stated. The case probably will be heard in Judge Fulton's circuit court.
