ROYCE GOES TO SCOTTSVILLE. Will Try to Straighten Out Affairs of a Bank There. Bank Commissioner John Q. Royce went to Scottsville today for the purpose of trying to settle up the affairs of the Scottsville State bank which failed a few days ago. Scottsville is a little town in Mitchell county on the Central Branch of the Missouri Pacific. The stock in the bank, except sixteen shares, is owned by Colonel Phelps. It is believed that the bank can be liquidated without the expense of a receivership, and without any loss except to the stockholders. Bank Commissioner Royce will make an effort to do this before causing the property to be placed in the hands of a receiver.
