Rockford man Norman Fjelsted aged 30 and his wife aged 28 were drowned in Rock River early Sunday morning near Byron leaving children and orphans. They left ckford late Saturday night for camp nearByron and got boat with Rockford companion. Fjelsted gan rocking the boat though his wife became alarmed and asked him to desist. The first Carroll county state bank will receive 15 per cent loan on the liquid assets of the bank from the First National bank in Chicago, according to an announcement made by the committee working on the organization of this new bank in Mount Carroll to replace the First State bank which has been closed since the moratorium.
