Description

Newspapers (Nov 30, 1926) report the Olathe State Bank was closed (failed) and state bank commissioner saw no hope for reorganization. Later (Oct 10, 1927) a receiver (Ashlock) is identified as receiver for the Olathe State Bank which failed last November; a former cashier was charged with falsifying records. No article describes a depositor run prior to closure — this is a suspension/closure with receivership driven by bank-specific adverse information (fraud/record falsification).
