Notice. I wish to say to the people who are most interested that I expect to pay to the Moran Bank all that I owe it and all I ask is a reasonable time to do so; and farther I wish to say to all who know themsel ves indebted to me, by note or book account that all book accounts or past due notes must within the next thirty days be fixed up by cash or by giving new notes with security. I also give notice that I have no authorized agent to receive money or renew notes and such accounts must be settled with me personally. W. A. Ross or L. B. Kinne, Receiver.

District Court Proceedings. Thornton Foust who was convicted of petit larceny was sentenced to ten days in the county jail and pay costs of action. Wm. Curren vs. W. H. Whitson et al. Case submitted to court which found for the plaintiff in the sum of $544.76 and his mortgage foreclosed, subject to the right of redemption. The interest of the Mutual Benefit Loan and Insurance Association was placed at $532.91 and that of Northrup's Bank at $5936.55. I. C. Malsbury was granted a divorce from E. J. Malsbury. The Palmer Oil , company's cases are under advisement of the court. Dora E. Lockhart was granted a divorce from John Lockhart Defendant to pay costs and $90 as permanent alimony and to have custody of the the following children: Mamie. Freddie, Katie and Walter. The plaintiff has custody of Olita and Carl. Moran Bank vs. Moran Driving Association. The question of the liabilty of Wm. Paske and Joshua Rumbel as stockholders in defunct corporation was submitted to court who found in favor of defendants. Jas. W. Tuft V0 W. T. Samuels, replevin; found for plantiff. Baker Miliing Co: VS. J. J. Varner, contract. Found for the plaintiff in the sum of $546 and costs. Maggie Mauzy was granted divorce from Chas. Mauzy and custody of children. S. E. McCormack was granted a judgment for $71.14 against L. B. Kinne as receiver for the Moran Bank.

Johnson confirmation sale confirmed and deed ordered. F. W. Frevert V8 B. and Diley Jones, foreclosure sale confirmed. Emma Hartman V8 I. M. Lockhart et al, partition. Decreed and E. A. Gleason, W. A. Shellman, C. Schaffner appointed committee to appraise property and report this term. Confirmation of sales ordered in cases of Kate Malone V8 Narcissa Ewing and Maude M. Miller vs Mary A. Ballard. State of Kansas V8 Moran Bank; receiver allowed to sell real estate and ordered to declare dividend 10 per cent. Bertha Wiggins granted divorce from Harry Wiggins. Adaline Riggs V8 Lora Dawson dismissed without prejudice. City of Iola V8 J. M. Sugg, motion withdrawn. Lucas Lee Cannon V8 H. B. Craddock; judgment against defendant for $1187.20.

# District Court Notes. The adjourned sitting of the district court began July 5 and continued until this morning when final adjournment was taken. Among the important cases disposed of during the week are the following: N. Shaffer vs. M. K. Ross, garnishment, On motion of the plaintiff, action was dismissed. Judgment that garnisher recover his costs. City of Iola vs. J. T. Reno and W. H. Clark. Court finds for plaintiff Judgment in accordance with prayer of petitioner, and that plaintiff recover of defendant the costs. Motion for new trial overruled. Defendants given 60 days to make case, 20 to plaintiffs to make amendments, to be settled in ten days thereafter, on five days notice. Amount of supersedeas bond fixed at $100. C. J. Carter Lumber Company vs. Patterson & Thomas. Property attached ordered sold and the proceeds of sale to be brought into court to abide its further order. S. C. Varner vs. P. L. Augustine et al. Plaintiff given leave te file amended petition in 30 days making additional parties defendant, they to be notified as in commencement of action. Kirby vs. Kirby. Plaintiff granted divorce from wife and awarded care and custody of child; plaintiff to pay costs. Decree not to become operative for six months. Case of S. E. McCormack vs. L B.
