The Bank Was Sound. Oberlin, Kan., March 10.-A run on the Farmers' State bank started here Saturday. All checks presented were promptly paid and at night, owing to the fact that deposits of considerable amounts were made, the bank closed with more than the usual amount of currency on hand. The cashier, John O'Grady, said: "The run was started by reports circulated by enemies of our bank for malicious purposes. It has not inconvenienced us and we are in position to pay every depositor his money on demand.
