The bank failure at Griswold is now reported to be right of a piece with that of the Cass county bank; and Brown, the president, is now in Mexico where the ordinary process of law cannot reach him. About the time the receiver took charge of the bank Brown had business away and remains absent. This is not what was given out at the time the bank closed, when it was boastfully stated that it would pay depositors in full. Possibly it may, but the stock holders are liable to suffer.-Anita Republicon.
