Description

The bank was closed by the Attorney General and a receiver appointed (Dec 1907). Subsequent reporting (Apr 1908) describes indictments and an absconding cashier, indicating bank-specific malfeasance contributed to insolvency. There is mention of hope to 'resume business,' but no evidence of reopening; receiver was appointed, so classify as suspension leading to closure/receivership. I inferred the suspension date from the 1907-12-13 article. 'Bank of Morehead' likely a state-chartered bank (common naming); if uncertain, 'unknown' could be used.
