go to Jones, in Lindsay Block. tf W. J. Young, of Pittsburg, Pa., vice president of the Forest Oil company, arrived in this city yesterday, and is spending a couple of days looking over his company's interest here. This afternoon the Derrick had the pleasure of a short interview with Mr. Young, and in reply to inquiry regarding the probable resumption of activity in the Kansas field soon, he stated that the only thing hindering now, is the low price of oil. Within the past few months. Mr. Young informed the Derrick, European production has increased, by reason of rich new discoveries, 17.000 barrels or more, per day. Heretofore Europe has been a ready market for all the surplus production in America. On the islands of Sumatra and Jaffa, where J. H. Fertig went from here, there has also been a tremendous new production developed this summer. While Pennsylvania oil has declined from 90 to 69c Kansas oil has held to the 40c mark. This is the price being paid now at the refinery of the Standard Oil company to the Forest for crude petroleum delivered to the refinery. For months yet the plant can be kept busy on the stock on hand. A large part of this is royalty oil bought by the Forest from the land owners at 56c, 45c, and 40c per barrel. Mr. Young departs tomorrow for Pennsylvania.-Neodesha Derrick. Kennedy as such receiver. The bank voluntarily went into liquidation some months ago, but this means a pushing of all claims due the bank and a speedy wind up of its affairs. Moments are useless if trifled away; and they are dangerously wasted if consumed by delay in cases where One Minute Cough Cure would bring immediate relief.-Boschert & Williams.
