BAILEY IDENTIFIED IT Former Governor Recovers Stolen Securities From His Bank. Securities aggregating $104,000 have been identified as property of the Baileyville State bank by Willis J. Bailey of Atchison, former governor and president of the bank. The Baileyville bank was reopened with the return of the bonds and securities. Cash amounting to $1,000 was taken from the bank, but was not recovered when men charged with the bank robbery were arrested in Kansas City. When the Baileyville bank was robbed, announcement was made that losses were less than $5,000. But when Kansas City police arrested three men after a gun fight, property in possession of the supposed yeggmen was shown to amount to more than $104,000. All of the property was identified and claimed by the Baileyville bank. Insurance sufficient to cover the loss of cash was carried by the bank. Death of a man shot during the revolver duel in Kansas City may block the bringing of the alleged robbers to this state for trial. It is probable that all of the men will now be held for murder charges in Missouri.
