In its latest form It has appeared in a bill introduced into the legislature, wh eb measure is paid to be the child of the governor. It provides that the state borrow monney and loan It out to the farmers in counties of not less than 1500 population. At best borrowing is only shifting a load from one shoulder to the other, and it is difficult to see why a people who have so much to pay with this year should want to borrow, or care for Increased facilities for borrowing. The bank had owing It about $150,000, of this amount, after an effort of several months, $15,000 has been realized.
