NATIONAL STATE BANK OF STOCKTON CLOSES STOCKTON. KAS., Nov. 14.-The Stockton National State bank was closed by its directors today and turned over to the state banking department. The bank was capitalized for $50,000. Frozen assets were given as the reason for closing. F. Coolbaugh was president the bank. Two state examiners were placed in charge LODGE INVITES EASTERN STAR. Eastern Star night will be observed at the meeting of Job's Daughters, bethel No. 7. tonight in the Masonic temple, Ninth and Harrison streets. Members of the Eastern Star are invited to witness the exemplification of the ritualistic work of the Job's Daughters. The bethel will give a dance at 4050 Main street next Saturday night and on the following Saturday will hold bazar and chicken dinner at the Masonic temple November 28 will be Dad's night, with initiation ceremonies. BOY IMPROVES IN HOSPITAL Walter Baker, 6-year-old boy, whose right leg was amputated Saturday night under the light of flashlights after the general hospital lighting system had failed, is improved today in the hospital. His right leg was crushed when he attempted to board moving freight WHITE ROSE train near Independence road and the Blue river. He is the son of Mrs. Marie Baker. 8115 Independence road.
