Description

Articles (1927) report the First National Bank of Medaryville closed its doors in June 1927 and receivers were subsequently appointed by the U.S. Comptroller (several receivers named in different notices). No article describes a depositor run; government/comptroller action and receivership indicate permanent closure. OCR errors in Article 1 made some names garbled (e.g., 'DARYVILLE' = Medaryville).
