LORIMER SEEKS SUIT
TO REPAY $1,000,000
Former Senator Asks Court for Action on Defunct Bank He Once Headed.

CHICAGO, August 19.βClimaxing an 18-year fight to regain assets of the defunct La Salle Street Trust & Savings Bank, its one-time president, former Representative William Lorimer, known for a score of years as the "blond boss" of Republicanism in Illinois, sought yesterday in Circuit Court for permission to sue the Chicago Title & Trust Co. for $1,000,000.
Lorimer said that if Judge John R. Caverly allows the suit, it will be instituted to help him keep a promise to repay every cent lost in the failure of his institution.
He charged that the Chicago Title & Trust Co., while acting as receiver for the La Salle Bank, took over the Rose-
