GRANTED DIVORCES IN COUNTY SEAT Motion to Allow Bondsmen Made Parties to Wilson Damage Suit Denied; Demurrer Taken Under Advisement; Other News. TOMBSTONE, Oct. 16.-The attention of the superior court was taken up today in the hearing of a number of law points in cases that are to be tried and the hearing of several divorce cases. W. E. Arnold, who has been acting as receiver of the Arizona Bank and Trust company, of Douglas, since that institution was closed oevr a year since, was discharged upon motion of attorneys for the petitioner. Mr. Arnold has completed his work and the depositors recovered nearly dollar per cent of their deposits. In the case of Frank Wilson vs. Sheriff Wheeler, for damages, the motion to allow the plaintiff to make the bondsmen as parties to the suit, was denied. The argument on the demurrer to the complaint was heard by the court and was taken under ad visement. Isabella M. Grant, of Bisbee, was granted a decree of divorce from Nathaniel Grant, on the grounds of non-support. Annie Gregory, of Bisbee, was granted a decree of divorce from John J. Gregory on the plea of desertion. Berdie eSeley was given a decree of divorce from Earl Clifford Seeley on the grounds of non-support. In the case of Chas. M. Renaud vs. H. S. Buckley, an action for debt, the plaintiff was given judgment as asked for. In the case of Collins and Brether ton vs. W. H. Barr et al, the action was dismissed as to the defendant, L. A. Brown, and judgment was given against the other defendants. In the case of Jos. Schwartner, of Willcox, vs. the Provident Mutual Building and Loan Insurance compa ny, an order was entered continuing the case for further setting. In the case of E. O. Kelly against the same corporation, the law points were presented by the opposing coun sel and taken under advisement. An order was entered in the estate of Frank E. Welty apopinting George H. Welty as administrator. An order was entered apointing the Willcox Bank and Trust company as special administrator of the estate O: Michael McFadden, deceased. An order was made for a hearing on the return of the sale of the min ing property in the Warren District belonging to the estate of R. E. Mc Carthy. Old Relics. R. E. McKinley, architect and build er, who has recently opened a shop on Fifth Steet near the old T. C. M Co. office, has a perfectly preserved Roman lamp which probably dates from the reign of Julius Ceaser 01 earlier. It was exhumed from a locali ty in Rome of which there is reliable history that no building had stood on the spot for 2000 years It doubtless burned olive oil. It has four jets fee by an oil bowl and these are support ed on a slender, graceful stem which in turn is supported" by a substantial circular base. The whole is beauti fully ornamented with artistic carving which stamps it as the possession anciently of no ordinary person. Who knows but it graced the board around which sat such notables as Ceaser Brutus, Antony, or even the grea Ceaser. It is in serviceable condition and Mr. McKinley expects to supply it with oil and wicks, and read by it light. Shriners to Douglas.
