Description

Articles (1895–1896) show the Bank of Greensburg was in the hands of a receiver (C. F. Mingenback / Migenbank OCR variants). There is no mention of a depositor run in the provided clippings; rather the receiver is selling assets (Sept 1895) and pursuing debtors in court (May 1896). This indicates the bank had failed and was in receivership (permanent closure) rather than a temporary suspension or a run-only episode. OCR variations of the receiver's surname are documented here.
