NAME ZWINGLE BANK RECEIVER Leach Named by Court to Handle Affairs; Stauffer Gone. Dubuque, Ia., Sept. 6.β€”Robert L. Leach, state superintendent of banking has been appointed receiver for the Zwingle Savings bank of Zwingle by Judge P. J. Nelson. The Zwingle bank was closed voluntarily by the directors last week following the disappearance of W. F. Stauffer, cashier, and the arrival of the bank examiners. The state banking department head had filed a petition seeking appointment as receiver. In his petition he stated that the bank was insolvent and unsafe and that the interest of the creditors required the closing of the bank. The court order also includes the clause that the bank is to be dissolved following the liquidation. Stauffer disappeared the day before the arrival of the bank examiners. The examiners did not learn that he had left until their second day at the bank. As yet no trace has been found of Stauffer.
