BANK OFFICIALS INDICTED. Cashier and President of Bank At Mendenhall Must Answer. Jackson, Miss., January 16.-The grand jury of Simpson county this evening indicted W. Q. Sharp, cashier of the Mendenhall 1bank, which recently suspended operations. He was immediately arrested and gave bond in the sum of $3000 for his appearance in court, and the case will probably be called in the next few days, as the circuit court of that county is now in session. Dr. T. M. Walker, president of the bank, has also been indicted. The indictments charge receiving deposits knowing the bank to be insolvent. $11.05 et

BANK CASHIER INDICTED. Jackson, Miss., Jan. 17.-The grand jury of Simpson county this evening indicted W. Q. Sharp, cashier of the Menderhall Bank, which recently ruspended operations. He was ar rested and gave bond in the sum of $3.000 for his appearance at court. Mr. T. M. Walker, president of the bank. has also been indicted. The indictricate charge receiving depcs. its knowing the bank to be insolvent.

Receiver Resigns. The proceedings instituted before Chancellor McCaskill at Mendenhall last Saturday to remove Receiver Dr. Harper of the Mendenhall Bank terminated abruptly, as that gentleman resigned his ffice without any protest whatever, and Mike Durr, of Pinola, a neighboring town, was named as receiver to assist Mr. Enochs, the other receiver, in winding up the affairs of the bank. It is stated by one of the largest stockholders in the institution on the authority of Receiver Enochs that there will be nothing left. for the stockholders after the depositors are paid.
