PETITION TO SELL NOTES Receiver Spekenhier Will Dispose of Notes on Defunct Commercial Bank at Hagerstown. J. A. Spekenhier, receiver for the defunct Commercial bank of Hagerstown has filed a petition in the circuit court to sell forty-two notes ranging from $10 to $750, as part of the assets to the defunct concern. The notes will be sold at-public auction as there is some doubt as to their real worth owing to the apparent insolvency of the indorsers. Mr. Spekenhier will probably begin work on his final settlement immediately as Hugh Allen the administrator of the personal estate of John Bowman will make his final report to Judge Fox today. The work involved in preparing his final statement is great; but Mr. Spekenhier hopes to be able to wind up all the affairs of the bank in a few weeks after Mr. Allen makes his report.
