Economics Club. The Monroe Township Home Economics club/met Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, at the home of Mrs. Lillian Leonard, with Mrs. Alta Carrol as assistant hostess, Roll call was answered by giving New Year's resolutions. Birthday Surprise. Mrs. Charles Ervin celebrated her birthday anniversary Friday, Jan. 2, and large number of her friends and neighbors gathered at her home with baskets of dinner to surprise her, the affair being planned by her daughter, Margaret. After bountiful pot-luck supper the evening was spent with games and a social time. Les Aimes Club. The Les Aimes Bridge club was delightfully entertained Thursday evening by Mrg. Everett Fleming. Light refreshments were served. Entertain at Dinner The telephone operators at the Swayzee exchange entertained the 2 Pkgs. 29c operators of the Greentown exchange at a chicken dinner at the home of Pkg. 29c Mrs. Emily Fry, Wednesday night. Bag 65c Love, Mrs. Flora Roe, Miss Madge Kilander, Mrs. Frank Zirkle, Mrs. Hazel Carr, all of Greentown; and Lb. 23c Miss Edith Niccum, Hazel Key, Lottie Thomas and Mrs. Emily Fry of 2 Cans 25c Swayzee. Class Party. 5 Lbs. 28c The Home Builders' class of the Second Friends Sunday school met 2 Lbs. 29c in the church basement Wednesday evening for a pot-luck supper and business meeting. A report of the 2 Cans 35c charitable work done by the class for the past two months was read. Girls 2 Cans 15c of the Case Radio Co. presented the class with gift of money to help carry on the work. Hostesses were Lb. 43c named for the coming year. The men of the class will entertain the ladies with an oyster supper and minstrel show at the February meeting.
