CURTICE BANK SUIT FILED IN LUCAS CO. Four suits for recovery of $113.the directors and liquidators of the Curtice State Bank which suspended business Sept. 2. 1931, in Curtice, Ottawa county, were filed Tuesday in Lucas county common pleas court by Thomas Bretherton, assistant Lucas county prosecutor. The funds involved are public moneys deposited under contract by the trustees and school boards of Jerusalem and Oregon townships in Lucas county. By a previous court ruling. mortgages which the bank gave as for the deposits cannot be held for this purpose and have been turned back to the liquidators. The petitions filed hold that the bank directors who signed their name to the depository contract, are lia/ble personally. The bank directors named are: H. C. Sandrock, Fred Fisher H. Mominee, Albert Anderson, Charles F. Dunn, G. W. Peach, A. M. Lorenzen, August Wt. Tank and J. E. Brunner. The petitions also name the state superintendent of banks.
