C. WITNESS YANT, IN SAAL SAID CASE, UNDER BOND BY COURT J. Yant. cashier and dent of the Farmer's and chant's Bank of Beaverdam, was released under bond Thursday Brooklyn, N. according telegram received by his attorney, Frank H. Downing, from Lee Murlin, assistant district federal attorney, Toledo, who is in charge of the government's effort cure the return of the three Saal brothers to Ohio to stand trial for alleged misuse of the mails nection with the near failure of the Beaverdam bank year ago. Kant went New York Wednesday witness in the federal court there where the Saals are resisting efforts at extradition. Downing said. According to Frances Durbin, local of the Saals, charges against Yant are the outgrowth testimony given by him former hearing when Prosecuting Attorney E. Botkin attempted to secure Morris Saal's return to Allen-co answer to indictment pending here in con- nection with the affairs of the Beaverdam bank. The bank suspended temporarily after approximately drafts drawn on the Saal's New York thru the Beaverdam bank failed to clear.

SAAL BROS. FACE CONTEMPT COUNT Counsel for Morris and Samuel Saal.- poultry and egg dealers of Brooklyn, N. Y., were directed to show cause why the clients should not be held in contempt of the court for obstructing justice and intimi dating government witness, in the final round of the extradition hear. ing before United States Commis sioner Epstein in Brooklyn yesterday, according to Associated Press James Yant, president of the Farmers and Merchants bank of Beaverdam, was arrested on libel charge on complaint of the Snal brothers, who are fighting extradi tion to Ohio. Yant who went New York city Wednesday as a witness, was released on a bond of $2,500, for his appearance when the hearing is resumed today. Morris Saal filed the suit to recover $250,000 of alleged libel from Yart.
