Bank Failure Friday, the Citizen's Bank at Anita closed its doors. Saturday it was in the hands of examiners from the state banking department, and a receiver will close up the business of the bank. The officials state that the bank will liquidate to the last dollar and that none of the depositors will lose through its failure. The bank carried a large amount of paper given by farmers who have been unable to pay off their indebtedness. At the same time, deposits were drawn out to such an extent as to cripple its business although there was no run. Officials state that the bank has sufficient paper outstanding to pay out dollar for dollar to the depositors.
