BANK AT CARMEL CLOSES ITS DOORS [Special to The Indianapolis Star.) NOBLESVILLE, Ind., Jan The Citizens State bank of Carmel was closed today on an order of the board of directors. J. G. Enwood of the state banking department took charge of the institution The closing is said to have resulted from withdrawals, general business conditions and frozen assets. The bank had capital stock of $25,000 and deposits of $161,000 Officers are O. W. Nutt, president T. A. Painter, vice president, and Bailey Hawkins, cashier This is the second time the bank has closed. Fourteen years ago was connected with chain of four financial institutions in Hamilton county, all of which failed.

Wilson Dem) Hancock county representative. the ranking member of the committee on Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home, Representative McClarnon of Noblesville is chairman of the committee. Recovering from Tonsil Operation. Mrs. Harry Reasner who returned home from the Methodist Hospital Sunday afternoon after having her tnsiles removed, is getting along nicely. CARMEL, Ind., Citizens State Bank with deposits of about $170,000 failed to open its doors here today. A State bank examiner has taken charge of the institution's affairs. Exhausted cash reserve was given as the cause for the bank's suspension. Admitted to Supreme Court. Mrs. R. Russell Andrews was admitted the Supreme Court of Indiana Tuesday afternoon. Jesse Levy moved the admission and she was sworn in by Judge Benjamin M. Willoughby.
