Verdict For $10,000. A consent judgment of $10,000 was awarded today in the Federal court here in the case of Thomas M. Thornton as receiver, against the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, a foreign bonding company doing business in Alabama with offices at Baltimore. The plaintiff, as receiver of the Attalla Bank, sued the bonding company which was on the bond of L. M. Dyke, former president of the Attalla Bank, who was convicted and sent to the Federal prisons at Atlanta on a charge of misapplying funds of the bank. Dyke was brought here as a witness in the case.
