TWO BANKS REOPENED BY BANK COMMISSIONER Special to The News. Little Rock, Jan. 26.-State Bank Commissioner W. T. Maxwell reports the reopening of two banks which had recently been closed; one of them is the Luxora Banking Company of Luxora which resumed business after a suspension of several weeks, with an increase of capital to $50,000 and the election of a new board of directors and J. E. Dean as cashier and S. E. Simonson as vice president. Mr. Simonson is the manager of the Arkansas Plantations owned by Governor Frank O. Lowden of Illinois. The Arkansas County Bank opened for business at Stuttgart Monday, having been organized for the purpose of taking over the assets and assuming the liabilities of the Bank of Stuttgart & Trust Company, which closed several days ago for the purpose of reorganization. A. B. Banks as president, Van M. Howell and W. B. Wall are the principal stockholders.
