$14.75 AN HOUR IS CONSIDERED FAIR PAY BY RUSSELL ROOT Russell W. Root, defeated Republican candidate for mayor, took the witness stand before Circuit Judge John Prystalski last Monday to answer objections to his fees of $3,115 as attorney for Justin Jaeger, receiver of the Broadway Trust and Savings bank, from June, 1944, until late in 1945. Attorney Edgar Jonas, representing George Sell, former cashier for the bank, said, "My client considers the fee a little bit heavy for the work in this case, figuring it out to 211 working hours."
