BANK DEFUNCT. Insolvency Is Confessed by Attorneys of the Company. San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 10.-The Union Trust Company of this city, with nine branches in various parts of Texas, suspended today, following the filing of a suit at Austin by the attorney general to cancel its charer for "unuse." The charter was taken out in 1871 and had not been renewed under the new state law. Insolvency was also confessed by the attorneys for the company. It is expected that all depositors will be paid in full. The deposits total $225.443; the capital stock is $200,00; the amount paid in $100,000; estimated assets $260,000. Thomas H. Davis of Austin has been appointed reieiver.
