Articles indicate the Walker Savings Bank was defunct and in receivership in 1929. A receiver's deed is recorded 1929-03-06 and a December 12, 1929 article calls it the 'defunct Walker Savings bank' with the state superintendent of banking as plaintiff and the bank's receiver involved in litigation. No article mentions a depositor run; the bank appears to have been closed and placed in receivership (government action).
