Former Tripoli Banker Dead Following Mishap in Okla. The many friends in this community of Ed Martin, former Tripoli banker, will be sorry to learn of his sudden death Tuesday at Oklahoma City, Okla., as the result of an automobile accident. According to information sent to Mvs. G. O. Van Derveer at Waverly, cousin of the deceased, he fell dead after reaching a hospital, the apparently less serious hurt than either of the two men who were with him when their car skidded off n highway. They were driving on a road which had been oiled recently. A rain which had just fallen made the surface treacherous and their automobile skidded into ditch. The body will be brought to Iowa and services will be conducted Friday at m. at Fremont cemetery near Tripoli. Martin was connected with Tripoli State bank, which suspended operations. He had been in Oklahoma about two years. Surviving are the widow, two sons and a daughter, William, John and Kathryn.
