OXFORD FARMS TO BE SOLD BY BANK RECEIVER OCT. 1 Oxford, Ia., Sept. 27.-L A. Andrews, receiver for the Oxford State bank, has announced the sale next Friday of the 240-acre and 320-acre farms, known as the John Schneider farms, seven miles south of here. George Panzek will be the auctioneer. Mrs. Frank Murphy will entertained the Farmers' Family club next Wednesday. Elsie Moscow has been elected chairman of the farm bureau women's unit for the year and other officers were named as follows: Evelyn Doyle, publicity chairman; Mrs. Anna Novak and Evelyn Doyle leaders of the Happy Circle club; Mrs. Libbie Kutcher and Mrs. Mary Shebetka school co-operators; Mrs. Lizzie Klenk and Mrs. Marguerite Flannery, Willing Workers' division: Mrs. Cletus Rohret and Mrs. Emma Wagner, school co-operators; Mrs. Maggie Ward and Mrs. Lillian Edwards, Better Homes club; Marie Louis and Mrs. Velma Immel, school co-operators. M. L. Vernon will conduct poultry demonstration at the Paul Kral farm north of here next Thursday afternoon and a soil erosion demonstration will be conducted at the Clarence Stratton farm, southwest of here, Oct. 14-15. Mrs. Leonard Brock entertained 11 members and a visitor at the Willing Workers' club meeting yesterday. Mrs. Albert Yenter will be hostess at the October meeting.
