Gamble of Washington, D. C., receiver of insolvent national banks who is receiver for the Manila National bank of Manila, Iowa, against the estate of Susan A. Shaw, late of Morrisville. George L. Hunt of this city appeared as attorney for Receiver Gamble and, Fred G. Fleetwood of Morrisville was attorney for the Shaw estate. The suit involved an assessment on bank stock of the Manila National bank. The stock was owned by the Shaw estate. The Manila National bank recently was forced to close its doors and the hearing here yesterday was a part of the receivership proceedings. The hearing was held before Judge Harland B. Howe of Burlington.
