STATE INQUIRES ABOUT BANK RUN Special to the Evening Journal. ELKTON, Md., Dec. 11.—Judge Atkins, sitting in the Cecil County Court here today, urged the Grand Jury to make rigid investigation into the cause for the run on the Elkton Banking and Trust Company, several days ago. The jury had several witnesses before it today questioning them about the run on the bank. A rumor was started that the bank was failing or had failed, and almost instantly there was a run. The rumor was unfounded. MEXICAN TREATY IN SENATE WASHINGTON, Dec. 11—President Coolidge today sent to the Senate the treaty with Mexico. This treaty carries out details of the recognition agreement recently entered into. The fighting in Mexico will not cause the United States to postpone ratification of the treaty, it was said at the White House today.
