Bank of Luverne Fails to Open for Business LUVERNE, Sept. 21.-The Bank of Luverne, a private institution, failed to open its doors this morning. A notice appeared on the door dated Sept. 19 stating that G. S. Buchanan had been appointed receiver, according to an order by the Kossuth county court. This bank was organized in 1885. Fenton Bank Closes. FENTON, Sept. 21.-The board of directors of the Fenton State bank ordered the institution closed today following a two day run. The bank is capitalized for $25,000 and had a surplus of $25,000. Mike Weisgrot is president and S. C. Ealy, cashier.
