JUDGE ELLIOTT NAMES A RECEIVER AFFAIRS OF THE BANK OF DEVALL'S BLUFF ARE BE WOUND UP AND DEPOSITORS PAID. Stockholders Asked for the Receivership-George Craig Named By the Court. Through their attorneys, J. H. Harrod, of Little Rock and Thweatt and Thweatt, of DeVall's Bluff, the stockholders of the Bank of DeVall's Bluff yesterday placed that institution in the hands of a receiver. Judge J. M. Elliott, in the Jefferson county court issued the receivership order and appointed George Craig, of DeVall's Bluff, county treasurer of Prairie county, receiver. The stockholders petitioned the court to name the receiver, liquidate the affairs of the bank, pay off the depositors and all creditors and wind up its fafairs. The receiver's bond was fixed at $25,000 which was approved. Internal troubles among the stockholders is to said to have broughi about the receivership. The swori. liabilities of the bank are placed at $25,000 with assets aggregating $50,000.
