# PRESIDENT WITHAM # ARRESTED IN ATLANTA. Not Known What Charge There Was Against Him. Atlanta, March 2.-W. S. Witham of this city, who is president of a number of banks throughout the state of Georgia, was arrested to-night in this city upon a warrant sworn out in Warrenton. Ga. Mr. Witham, who was immediately released upon his personal recognizance, professed ignorance as to the nature of the charge against him. The Bank of Warrenton recently suspended, and the arrest of Mr. Witham is believed to have some relation to this failure. James Frederick Allen of Warrenton was recently arrested in New York in connection with the failure of the Bank of Warrenton.
