WANT BANK RECEIVERS. CHICAGO, March 21. — Two suits for the appointment of a receiver for the 16th Street State Bank, which was closed yesterday were filed by depositors late today after Samuel W. Maltz, former president of the institution, admitted to assistant state's attorney that he had used irregular financial methods in obtaining loans from the bank. TO BUILD NEW HOTEL JOHNSON CITY, Tenn., March 21.—Ground was broken here yesterday for the construction of Johnson City's half million dollar hotel. It is a community project, owned by 1,300 stockholders in Johnson City and vicinity and is to be completed by January, 1924.
