Trustees Announce Dividend No. Two
The Trustees for Depositors of the First National Bank Are Making Payment of Another Dividend.
Dividend No. 2 to the depositors of the First National Bank has been declared by the trustees and payments started Wednesday, January 23rd.
The bank holiday was declared in March 1933, and when the waivers were signed by the depositors of the First National Bank the following June, most of the signers thought it would be several years before any of their 25 per cent waiver would be available. Their faith in the institution has been justified and within a period of a few months two dividends have been paid, turning back to depositors half of the waiver.
The stockholders of the bank, who have turned in additional assets to the trustees, and the trustees, themselves, deserve much credit. The trustee's funds have shown remarkable earnings and payments and the cost of operation has been very small.
