We publish the subjoined communication of "A Democrat," of Independence county, in relation to the communications signed "Boreas," and published in the Banner, expressing doubts whether they were written at the point indicated by them; and also the appointment of a Financial Receiver of the Bank at Batesville. In regard to "Boreas," we can assure "A Democrat" that the author does really reside in Independence county. As to the appointment by the Governor, of Mr. Bevens, to be Financial Receiver of the Bank at Batesville, we are not acquainted with the circumstances under which the Governor acted in making the appointment;but judging from the course he has generally pursued in similar cases, we doubt not but that he had good reasons for making the appointment in question.
