MEADER APPOINTED RECEIVER. John Temple Graves, Bondholder, Is Plaintiff in the Suit. Atlanta, Aug. 23.-Judge J. H. Lumpkin of the Superior Court, to-day appointed T. D. Meader, vice president of Lowry National Bank, receiver for the Bankers' Trust Company, and the Atlanta Loan and Investment Company. The Atlanta Loan and Investment Company has been in business eight or ten years, and the Bankers' Trust Company was organized last year with a view of absorbing the assets and assuming the liabilities of the former. The two companies are under the same management, and are both included in the bill. The plaintiff, John Temple Graves, is a bondholder of the Bankers' Trust Company, holding $1,200 of participating bonds, and $800 of non-participating bonds. The bill was filed on the ground that the Bankers' Trust Company and the Atlanta Loan and Investment Company were insolvent, and that the last payment of interest on their bonds was an encroachment upon the principle.
