GERMANIA BANK CHECKS MAILED State Comptroller's Office Has Been Busy Place for Week. Tallahassee, Dec. 26.-In addition to the regular pressing duties of the comptroller's office, it has been preparing dividend checks of 10 per cent for the depositors of the Germania State bank of Jacksonville, which closed its doors about the middle of January, 1917. It has paid dividends amounting to 40 per cent, including the ones just going out. The comptroller's office has been making strenuous effort to close out the receiverships of banks, but owing to pending litigation has succeeded only in the cases of the Pensacola State bank and the Lynn Haven Bank and Trust company, the latter paying 100 per cent.
